It's long over-due, but I will be posting the story of our adoption, starting tomorrow. It has been weighing on me over the last few months because I definitely wanted to have it archived from start to finish. You all saw it play out minute by minute, but this version will be less breaking news and more long-form story.
So, for those who are interested, Part I will post tomorrow. You'll learn exactly what went into taking home this little miracle...

ReplyDeleteHey, I was thinking... you should make a book for Clara like the ones at Enjoying the Small Things that she makes for her girls' birthdays... you're so good with your creativity and I bet it would be amazing!!!!

ReplyDeleteand isn't it great when you start to really see their personality? :)
it was there in the womb...
have you read Mother Terea's book on her struggles? or what i think is called 'the dark night of the soul?'
ann louise gittleman has such great info on her site, and in her books
please look into them
i wanted to pass thison to anyone who might be looking to adopt - perhaps getting in touch with this organization, especially if they are near you, might be able to connect you with people who need help
it's a thought
God be with you

sometimes, when it is the darkest, i tell myself that something good is happening somewhere, and i need to 'stick around for the miracle' (i forget where i first read / heard that...)
ReplyDeletebut sometimes, when you are down, it is not that God is doing something to you, or even teaching you a lesson - altho you might learn one...
sometimes, it is your thyroid, or your prayer life, or progesterone / estrogen levels or whatever (for me, taking vitamin e and fish oil helps)...
it is the good in you, the connection in you, that takes you on the path back to God, in whatever way (although God does not leave you), and that is how your faithfulness is rewarded by exactly giving you what your heart desires - and if not exactly that, then the thing that will turn out to have been your heart's desire, or helps you so much
i am so very happy that you are happy....you, as so many people do, 'deserve' it, and this it the beginning of a lovely family, in whatever way....
this pic made my day!
