It's a...

...BOY!!!!

Clara's going to have a little brother!



Here you can see his beautiful little profile, with his arm over his head and his hand on his forehead. I like to think he's making the sign of the cross!

Ahhh! I can't believe I'm even writing "he"! I am one of three girls and there are now two granddaughters on my side, so we were starting to think maybe my family was destined to only ever have females. And while I'm sure they would have been just as happy with a girl, I think both my dad and Ryan are pretty excited today about our little boy!

Everything in the ultrasound was perfect and normal and great. We are so thrilled and in awe of God's abundant blessings!

  10. I knew it! Congratulations! I'm sure your dad and Ryan are THRILLED. My dad was when my sister finally had the first boy in our family...men love those boys! Hooray!

  15. I have 5 sisters and 3 brothers, and 13 nieces and 2 nephews (the youngest nephew is 21). I almost fell off the table when she said, "It's a boy."

    After the fact, I was SO glad.
    I didn't want girl drama re: one being adopted, one bio.
    (If that happens in the future, so be it, but with just two, I wanted it this way.)

    Congrats, my Mama's Little Boy is such a delight.

  23. Awesome! You are the first to bring a boy in the family (if I read that correctly), you go girl! I can't wait until he's born to see pictures. And yeah it does look like he's making the sign of the cross, a future Priest perhaps?

    I'm the oldest in my family, with a brother not quite a year younger, so from my experience as a sister, as well as my limited experience so far as the mom of a boy and girl not quite a year apart, this is a fantastic combination! They'll have so much fun together! And I think my brother and I have had an easy time having friends of the opposite sex because of our relationship with each other, too.
